All our guest rooms have names - there are
HOOPOE and LE NID - these are large superior rooms and are better suited to sharing at £1575. They can be booked for sole occupancy at £1850 per person. These rooms are in the gite. Beds are added or removed as needed
COGNAC **- An ensuite room with a double bed for single occupancy which has its own en-suite bathroom £1550 pp - (one double bed). This room is situated in the main house. I occasionally agree that if a guest wishes their husband or partner to accompany them (not participating in sewing) the same rate is applicable for the partner.
PETIT H’HIBOU - A twin bedded room only bookable by two guests sharing - this room has its own private adjoining bathroom. £1275pp
HIRONDELE - A combi room for one or two occupants- this delightful room has exclusive use of the bathroom on the floor below - for one person £1595 for sole occupancy or 2 sharing its £1475(please note this room has exclusive use of the downstairs bathroom which has a bath with wall mounted shower and screen)
ALEX ** - this is our occasional guest room in the main house -is located other ground floor. It has a double bed and the large bathroom is next to it for your exclusive use (my washing machine and tumble dryer are located in this area but won’t affect your stay at all) but is reflected in the price which is £1465 pp no single supplement
The last room is a very large room with a king size bed. (CHOUETTE DES CLOCHERS) (an additional bed can be added) It has no bathroom attached but uses a large bathroom in the corridor with twin basins and a row top bath plus separate shower. This may be booked by one person at £1450 or to share at £1290pp

A NOTE ABOUT ROOM SHARING. THIS IS A VERY POPULAR OPTION. THERE ARE THOSE WHO WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT SHARE WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY THEIR CHOICE AND THEY ARE WILLING TO PAY EXTRA FOR THE SINGLE OPTION….BUT WE HAVE LEARNED OVER THE YEARS THAT IT ACTUALLY WORKS VERY WELL. IT KEEPS THE COST DOWN AND WE HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM - EVER. I TRY TO MATCH UP POTENTIAL ROOM MATES AND PUT THEM IN TOUCH BEFORE EACH AGREES TO THE ARRANGEMENT. BUT WHY NOT ASK YOU MUM, YOUR SISTER OR A BEST FRIEND!
I DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE ROOM CHANGES SUBJECT TO MUTUAL AGREEMENT AND THIS SOMETIMES RESULTS IN A SAVING FOR THE GUEST CONCERNED. ROOM ALLOCATION IS SOMETIMES VERY DIFFICULT BUT IVE NEVER HAD A SINGLE COMPLAINT.

I have successfully found room buddies for ladies coming alone by matching up similar guests. I normally give both ladies the others details and they decide for themselves - it works well!
TRAVEL - Please please bear in mind that we do not charge for airport transfers and the cost of a taxi is estimated to be around £300+ at least EACH WAY so when booking your flight please be aware that we visit the airport only once during the day. The two bridges crossing the Charente leaving the airport can get busy. The journey to our house can take an hour on a good day or it can take 2 plus depending on the time of day. When choosing a flight aim to arrive between 10 am and 4 pm if possible please. You may have to wait for other flights to arrive but there are coffee shops and restaurants in the airport. The other alternative is to arrive a day early and spend that time in Bordeaux, meet up perhaps with other ladies on the trip and book a basic hotel in Bordeaux or an airport hotel and have an nice meal in the evening, getting your holiday off to a great start. We will collect you from the airport the next day (there is a great tram service between Bordeaux centre and the airport)
Flights are getting pricey and I have found in the past that if you are willing to fly from one airport and fly back to a different airport there are savings to be made BIG TIME. The airlines know that the vast majority of people go for a week so entice you by making the outward fair cheap then the return fair can be three times the prices, sometimes more. So be flexible.

Buy holiday insurance as you would any other holiday - if we cancel you will get a no quibble refund dependant on timing of course.
